My name is Dr. Daryl Mc Clendon and I'm honored to serve as the new Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Community Health Connections.
At the core of my medical philosophy is that it is my job as a physician to find answers for patients. I believe the best care begins with putting myself in my patients’ shoes. This means listening carefully, understanding their lived experiences and working alongside them to deliver the care they deserve and need. I am deeply committed to providing compassionate, high quality health care.
Throughout my career I have had the privilege of caring for pediatric, adult, geriatric and woman's health patients in diverse and medically underserved communities in New York, Connecticut and now Massachusetts. These experiences have reinforced my belief that everyone deserves respectful, patient centered care, regardless of their background, circumstances or ability to pay.
Teaching and mentorship are also important to me. I've been actively involved as a tutor, mentor, instructor and preceptor to medical students, interns, residents and fellows. I am passionate about supporting both our current care teams and the next generation of health care professionals. My hope is that they too, join the community health center movement and dedicate their career to caring for all, regardless of insurance status or income.
As CMO at Community Health Connections I'm excited to work alongside a talented and caring team of clinicians and support staff, to ensure that we continue helping all members of our community live healthier lives. I look forward to serving our patients and our community.
